How do VSL#3 capsules work?

VSL#3 is a food supplement with live freeze-dried bacteria that feed the good bugs in your gut. The human body has trillions of bacteria, both good and bad which live inside the digestive system. Their role is to help you digest the food and work all over your body to aid your gut health.

How to take VSL#3

The recommended intake of VSL#3 capsules is 1-2 capsules a day or as directed by your healthcare provider. Most people start with one capsule a day for 2 weeks and then adjust as needed.

VSL#3 capsules can be taken before or after meals. Simply swallow the capsule with water or alternatively open the capsule and stir the content into any cold, non-fizzy drink or food.

Each capsule of VSL#3 contains 112.5 billion live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria. There are 8 different strains of bacteria specially selected for VSL#3:

Other ingredients include: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC vegetable capsule), cornstarch, anticakin agents (stearate magnesium, silicon dioxide and stearic acid), microcrystaline cellulose.

This product does NOT contain soy, gluten, lactose or milk products.

Storage instructions

VSL#3 contains live freeze-dried bacteria, as such it must be kept refrigerated. VSL#3 can stay outside of the fridge for up to seven days without affecting potency. After this 7 day period, if VSL#3 is not refrigerated the concentration of the bacteria may beign to decrease.
